Question 1

What types of electric bikes and scooters does Ferris Wheels service?

Accepted Answer

The shop offers flat tire, brake, and repair services for many brands of electric two-wheel vehicles. It provides electrical diagnostics for Bosch-equipped bikes, Shimano-equipped bikes, Brompton electric bikes, Velotric electric bikes, and Lectric bikes sold through the store. For other eBike brands, the shop may assist on a case-by-case basis if the customer provides parts or if the shop has compatible parts in stock.

Question 2

How quickly can Ferris Wheels fix a flat tire?

Accepted Answer

The shop offers while-you-wait flat fixes with a turnaround of less than half an hour for most bikes, though time estimates for electric scooters and eBikes vary case by case. All flat fixes come with a 7-day guarantee, and warranty coverage may extend to 30 days or longer if the tube or tire has a manufacturing defect.

Question 3

What tune-up packages are available, and how long does service take?

Accepted Answer

Ferris Wheels offers a $60 basic tune-up covering headset, brake, and shifting adjustments; a $120 comprehensive tune-up with bearing and wheel truing; and a $175 tune-up plus drivetrain cleaning. The shop typically requests at least a couple of business days for a proper tune-up. Special pricing is available for cargo bikes ($140), XL eBikes ($160), single-speed bikes ($100), and tricycles ($180).

Question 4

Does Ferris Wheels handle warranty claims for bikes and eBikes?

Accepted Answer

The shop can process warranty claims for brands it sells directly. For brands not carried, it can help assess options and may be able to process third-party warranties for a small fee.

Question 5

What group rides or community events does the shop organize?

Accepted Answer

Ferris Wheels is testing routes for future group paved and mixed-surface rides, including a planned Middlesex Fells route covering approximately 35 miles (roughly 80% paved) with singletrack, doubletrack, and sharp rocks. The shop anticipates offering these group rides in the coming seasons.

Question 6
