Fat Tire Cycles has been locally owned and operated since 1994, with three Albuquerque locations (Montaño, Corrales, Foothills) serving North and Central New Mexico's Rocky Mountains, Sandia Mountains, Gila Wilderness, and beyond. The shop carries over 22 bike brands including Devinci, Electra, Giant, Intense, Rad Power, Surly, and Teravail, alongside Shimano components and a large selection of hard-to-find parts and accessories. Owner Erik Faria employs staff with extensive first-hand experience: including a primary bike fitter with a PhD in exercise physiology: and offers lifetime-free adjustments on all bikes sold, professional bike fitting, and same-day flat-tire repair seven days per week. The shop also sponsors Duke City BMX and hosts group rides and bike demo days.
