About
Don's Bicycles opened April 1, 1959, when founder Don McAfee opened a shop in Rialto after years of fixing bikes on street corners. The business survived Don's passing by shifting to his son Scott, who became a competitive cyclist himself: winning two California Road Championship titles and later founding the 7-Up professional men's and Diet Rite women's cycling teams, whose riders won major North American races and competed in the Olympics. The shop expanded to a second 8,000 sq ft location in downtown Redlands in 2012. Today it carries Specialized, Cannondale, Cervelo, Giant, Kona, Salsa, Surly, and other road, mountain, and BMX brands, offers professional bike fitting, general repairs and tune-ups, carbon fiber frame repair, and provides financing options. Free lifetime tune-ups come with every new bike purchase.
