Founded in 1957 and still privately owned, Conte's operates multiple locations across Washington DC, Virginia, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and Florida. The shop carries road, gravel, mountain, and e-bike brands including Cannondale, Cervelo, Giant, Gazelle, Pinarello, Rad Power, and Surly. Its primary distinguishing service is professional bike fitting: the Essential Fit ($200) covers saddle, cleat, and bar position; the Precision Fit with Velogicfit ($300) uses motion-capture technology and advanced physical assessment for riders of all experience levels; the Precision Frame Finder ($350) combines fit analysis with geometry-matched test rides; and the Try Before You Buy ($500) pairs fitting with 48-hour home demo periods on two bikes.
