Contender Bicycles was founded in 1987 and moved to the 9th & 9th neighborhood in Salt Lake City in 2001 after owner Ryan purchased the shop in 1999; a custom-built storefront opened in 2013, with a second location in Park City, Utah in 2018. The shop carries Cannondale, Cervelo, Giant, Juliana, Orbea, Pinarello, Specialized, and other premium brands, with a custom pro build process for road, gravel, mountain, and e-bikes. It functions as a major dealer for top brands and emphasizes personalized service for both seasoned cyclists and newcomers.
