About
Community Bike Works was founded in 1994 by Allentown bike shop owner Stefan Goslawski after receiving a letter suggesting a youth bike mechanics program. Operating from its main facility on Madison Street in Allentown, PA since 2000, it runs the Earn a Bike and Junior Earn a Bike programs, engaging over 300 youth annually in bike repair, mentoring, and leadership development. The organization also operates a food pantry in the Keck Park building serving East Allentown residents, and maintains a mobile unit for classes in downtown Allentown and South Bethlehem.
