Founded in December 2017 in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Cognative MTB designs and manufactures premium MTB-specific apparel trail-tested in Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest. The company operates the Cognative Cafe in Hendersonville: a retail storefront and high-end coffee shop: alongside the Cognative Ride House Airbnb on a 4-acre compound. Through its 2% For The Trails program, Cognative has donated over $100,000 to nonprofit trail clubs nationwide and sponsors custom apparel fundraising for trail organizations and NICA.
