Question 1

Does Coconut Bike Rental offer same-day rentals, or is advance booking required?

Accepted Answer

Both options are available. Customers can make advanced reservations before arrival or order for same-day delivery. Advanced orders are prepared in advance, while same-day orders are delivered on a first-come, first-served basis, with delivery order determined by when the order is received and delivery logistics.

Question 2

What types of bikes and equipment does the shop rent?

Accepted Answer

Coconut Bike Rental rents beach cruisers (adult and youth sizes), e-bikes with pedal assist and 20mph top speed capability, bike trailers (tag-along, kids, pet, and equipment), and beach equipment including chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, skim boards, beach wagons, and coolers. The shop also rents recreational games such as bocce ball, cornhole, slammo, beer pong, and ladder toss sets, plus paddle boards.

Question 3

How does the rental delivery process work?

Accepted Answer

The shop offers both delivery to rental units and local pickup options. Advance reservations are prepared before customer arrival; those arriving before 4:00 PM can request delivery at their anticipated arrival time, though peak-season deliveries may occur after 4:00 PM. Same-day orders are delivered in the order received based on delivery logistics, with no guaranteed delivery window. Customers can request pickup from a location instead of delivery by noting this in their order.

Question 4

What should customers know about sizing and changes during a rental?

Accepted Answer

A size guide is provided for each item to match bike size to rider height. If items need to be swapped for a different size or type after delivery, customers can call the shop at (843) 785-2730 to arrange a switch-out; a fee applies unless the shop is already delivering to that area of the island, in which case there is no charge.

Question 5

What are the shop's policies for bike security and damage responsibility during rental?

Accepted Answer

Bikes must be locked at all times when not being ridden. The shop provides locks and recommends locking through the frame or wheel, not the basket. Customers are responsible for any lost or damaged items. Beach equipment and games should be stored indoors when not in use. Bikes may be ridden on pathways and beaches only.

Question 6

Does the shop offer service or support if problems occur during a rental?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Customers experiencing issues such as flat tires or chain problems can call the shop at (843) 785-2730 during their rental for repair or equipment swap-out rather than waiting until the rental period ends.
