The Carbondale Bike Project, founded in 2009 as the Bonedale Bicycle Project, operates a volunteer-run community workshop in Carbondale, CO where members repair and build bikes from donated inventory during open shop hours. The shop offers work stands, tools, and volunteer instruction in bicycle repair and maintenance for a recommended $10/hour donation, with no one turned away due to lack of funds. In 2024, the organization repaired and resold 102 bikes locally while distributing 57 bikes and parts to the Navajo Reservation and 48 bikes to migrant workers through LaPlata partnership.
