Question 2

What is the history of Bruce Gordon Cycles?

Accepted Answer

The shop was founded by Bruce Gordon in 1974 and operated as a custom frame-building business for 46 years. Bruce was trained in frame building by Albert Eisentrout and became known for bikes that balanced innovative design with aesthetic appeal. Current owner David di Falco was Bruce's only full-time employee for 11 years and also trained under Eisentrout before taking over the business.

Question 3

What products does the shop currently offer?

Accepted Answer

Bruce Gordon Cycles sells bicycle accessories and Rock 'n Road tires (including two new sizes) through their online store at brucegordoncycles.bigcartel.com. The shop ships internationally and accepts inquiries via email for international orders and shipping costs.

Question 4

What was Bruce Gordon's approach to frame building?

Accepted Answer

Bruce emphasized that fit and function were paramount: a bike had to meet the rider's specific needs and purpose. He believed how and where things are built matters more than anything else, and he focused on using quality materials from vendors who shared similar ethical standards for sustainable production.
