Crank Works Bicycles opened in September 2011 in Brooksville, Florida, founded by Patricia Laird and Mark (lead mechanic) after years of traveling to distant shops for quality repair work. The shop expanded to a second location, Crank Works Bicycles-Brick City, in downtown Ocala to serve Marion County. They carry Specialized, Giant, Salsa, Aventon, 45NRTH, and Teravail, with Mark holding USA Cycling Mechanic certification and hands-on experience across nearly every brand, including custom and modified bikes. The shop emphasizes community engagement and personal product testing before stocking.
