Bikes Plus South opened in 2019 in Stuart, Florida, founded by Heather and Dave after Heather earned expert bicycle mechanic accreditation from the Barnett Bicycle Institute and the Treasure Coast cycling community grew. The shop carries Gazelle, Intense, and Salsa and operates from a location that doubled in floor space in 2025. Staff include Erik, a bike-fitting specialist who has worked with Olympians and Tour de France athletes, and Christopher, a competitive mountain-bike racer.
