Bike Rides For Ordinary People organized community cycling tours and advocacy events in the Cambridge, MA area for over twenty years, beginning in 1998 with local neighborhood rides designed to get cyclists beyond the Minuteman Bike Path. The organization expanded to lead European cycling tours starting in 2003 and coordinated state-level cycling events including the Mass BikePike Tour (2006: 2014) and Cycle Massachusetts (2014: 2019). The founder has announced a transition away from active operation and is seeking a successor to continue the organization.
