Founded in 2003 by Jackie Green, who has been car-free in Louisville since 1999, Bike Couriers Bike Shop began as a response to downtown urban transportation needs and evolved into retail. The shop operated from 107 W. Market Street for twenty years, selling Jamis, Bianchi, Masi, Marin, and KHS bikes while also offering bike rentals and tours downtown. Beyond retail, the shop has been an active advocate for traffic safety and reduced speed limits in Louisville's urban corridors.
