Founded in 2004 by two Washington University students, Bears Bikes operates from a storefront on the South 40 campus at 6515 Wydown Boulevard. The shop provides bike rentals (semester and year-long), general repairs and tune-ups, bike storage over breaks, and seasonal access to the campus cycling community. Open Wednesday 5:30: 7:30 pm and Sunday 12: 2 pm, it serves the university community with a stated focus on sustainability, safety, convenience, and reliability.
