Founded in 1995, Bear Valley Bikes serves Big Bear Lake as a repair, rental, and custom-build specialist. Shop owner Derek Hermon, a UCI-certified technician and Specialized component University graduate, leads a team focused on custom builds and mechanical advancement. The shop carries Cannondale, Marin, Oh Wow, Freesky, Kasen, and Speed-Evolution (its own brand), across mountain bikes, cruisers, e-bikes, and frames. Beyond retail, Bear Valley offers tiered service packages, cable/brake/drivetrain work, and bike rentals across cruiser, cross-country, and e-bike categories. The shop is embedded in Big Bear's racing culture, organizes the Grizzly 100 and Big Bear MTB Gran Fondo, and its team has dominated local racing series.
