About
Founded in 2012 in Carbondale as a backcountry skiing shop, Cripple Creek Bike & Backcountry expanded into cycling after partnering with Basalt Bike & Ski, recognizing that many backcountry skiers are also passionate cyclists. The shop now operates seven locations across Colorado (Carbondale, Aspen, Denver, Avon, Silverthorne, Willits) plus Seattle, carrying road, gravel, and mountain bikes from Specialized, Giant, Santa Cruz, Pivot, Pinarello, and Cervelo. Its bike technicians are trained in electronic shifting, e-bike battery and motor service, and suspension work, with a stated focus on quick turnaround and e-bike specialization.
