About
Founded in 2012 in Carbondale as a backcountry skiing shop, Cripple Creek Bike & Backcountry expanded into cycling after partnering with Basalt Bike & Ski, now operating seven locations across Colorado and Seattle. The Aspen location carries Specialized, Giant, Santa Cruz, Pivot, Cervelo, and other major brands, with in-house bike and ski techs trained in electronic shifting, e-bike batteries and motors, and suspension work. The shop stocks road, gravel, and mountain bikes across all ability levels and price points, and specializes in e-bikes (one of Colorado's largest selections) alongside rentals and tuning services.
